7 Days Coastal Kenya Safari Circuit

You depart early from your beach hotel and cross into Tsavo East, where the first game drives introduce you to the park’s iconic red elephants and sweeping plains. After lunch at your lodge, an afternoon drive explores the Galana River ecosystem and prime wildlife areas.

Following pre-dawn game viewing, you travel to Tsavo West where the landscape becomes more dramatic and volcanic. Afternoon highlights include visits to Mzima Springs and game drives across rocky ridges and wooded valleys.

An early departure takes you toward Amboseli, arriving in time for lunch. The afternoon game drive in Amboseli focuses on elephant families, grazing plains game and that classic vista of Mount Kilimanjaro when weather allows.

Spend a full day exploring Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. Early morning is perfect for photography as wildlife congregates by waterholes, while the afternoon reveals more of the park’s birdlife and small mammal activity.

You leave Amboseli and head toward the Taita Hills, taking an afternoon to explore private conservancies and enjoy elevated scenery and forested patches. These quieter areas provide a contrast to the busier national parks and often yield different species and birdlife.

After breakfast you travel to Shimba Hills National Reserve, where coastal rainforest, Sheldrick Falls and sable antelopes await. A guided walk and game drive through the reserve reveal the reserve’s forest species and scenic waterfalls.

On the final morning you enjoy an early nature walk or short drive in Shimba Hills before making the coastal return. You arrive back at your beach hotel in the afternoon, completing a week of diverse wildlife experiences and coastal culture.
